Located in Shela town, the gorgeous Shela House is built around an open courtyard over three-stories and sleeps up to 9 people. Two staircases lead to three double bedrooms, one room with 2 single beds and one smaller single room, all lavishly decorated in Swahili Lamu style and all en suite. The second floor houses a lovely terrace and dayroom which provides the perfect spots to lounge and relax. There are also two rooftop chillout areas with hammocks and sunbeds and a walled garden across the passageway. This is where most time is spent, overlooking the historic Shela village and the channel between Lamu and Manda.

Shela Palm offers you access to the best seafood in Lamu, through the cook and team at the house, who will also ensure you have everything you need, whilst you get lost in the history and culture of Shela. The house is also available on a self-catering basis.

A visit to Lamu, on the Northern part of the Kenyan Coast, is one of the best experiences the country has to offer.
