Best approached through Nairobi National Park (to our own Masai Gate), Silole House overlooks the National Park to the East, protected from the city by our own 350 acre Wildlife Sanctuary. Here one can walk (something not allowed in the Park) freely with a guide (necessary as we have all the large mammals to be found in the Park including buffalos & rhinos…)

Silole House has a massive verandah where you can eat and relax & watch the cascades of birds at the birdbath in dry weather….or fire up the Barbecue. With three en-suite double bedrooms, there is plenty of space in the Courtyard for kids, (or even tents if you have an overspill). A huge sitting room/dining room completes your weekend space, with an open fire for chilly evenings. We are off-grid, so you are on a solar system (no power cuts) with our own borehole water…

Kitengela Glass, with all it’s wonders, is a short walk across the Kiserian Gorge (Silole is surrounded by rocky gorges on two sides: great for walks or rock-climbing) and there is a great curry house (Osoita Lodge) if you want to eat out.

 

Masai Lodge is next door, with it’s beautiful swimming pool (perfect for the kids) , famous for it’s mixed grill (highly recommended) and of course the National Park is right there for your early-morning game drives or picnics.
