Sungura Cow Shed, Naivasha
Sungura Cowshed is a lovely, family-orientated house, on the Moi South Lake road. Set on a wildlife sanctuary, offering an abundance of wildlife and birds, this amazing renovation sleeps up to 6 people in 3 lovely double rooms, perfect for a group of friends or a larger family. A stunning, fully equipped kitchen greets you as you enter the house, leading into a cosy living room with a fireplace, dining room and TV room stocked with DVDs. Outside the veranda leads onto the rolling lawn and a beautiful upstairs lounge offers extra views over the garden down to the lake.
The team of staff at the house just rounds off the great experience you are sure to have at the Cowshed, where everything is designed towards family groups. With space to play on the rolling lawns and the TV room to calm the little ones down (if possible!) before bed, Cowshed offers evening relaxation for the grown-ups in a cosy home.
If you don’t know what happens in Naivasha, you’re missing one of Kenya’s highlights. On the south of Lake Naivasha, you can go horse riding or boating, or venture into Hells Gate National Park and go rock climbing, hiking and cycling. For the super fit, why not take on the climb up Mount Longonot or (for the less fit) go walking on the Crescent Island Conservancy? Alternatively, set the pace a little slower and take the family out to lunch under huge acacia trees at Carnelley’s or The Ranch House Bistro. On the north side of the lake, the Great Rift Valley Club provides golf, tennis and swimming facilities. Once you’re in the area, it’s a short run-up to Elementaita Conservancy and Nakuru National Park. Altogether, Naivasha offers a great collection of activities for everyone, and we have a great collection of houses to make your stay memorable.
