About Ziwani House
This unique house, perched on a volcanic rock island overlooking lake Naivasha, has been stylishly designed and furnished in the modern chic vogue. Featuring 5 en-suite comfortable double bedrooms, it can accommodate up to 10 guests. This little known magical island is lake Naivasha’s best kept secret, tucked away on the western shore of the lake. Within the glass and timber house you have the sense of floating above the lake with spectacular views of Eburu, the Abedares and Mt. Longonot. You have to see it to believe it.
The main house comprises a spacious sitting room, kids play area, dining room, outside covered dining area and wrap-around deck and 4 en-suite bedrooms. The annex comprises 2 ensuite bedrooms with their own veranda. A wooden, locally designed and built, fishing boat offers boat transfers to and from the island. The island is ideally situated to enjoy all that Lake Naivasha has to offer from water sports, fishing, bird watching, golfing at Green Park, cycling and game viewing in
Hell’s Gate, hiking Mt. Longonot, flamingo viewing on Lake Olodien. The house has a chef and 2 other household staff, a boatman and day and night guards. The house is not suitable for children under 8 years of age due to high decks, lots of plate glass windows and door and the close proximity of the lake.
