Ziwani House, Naivasha

This unique house, perched on a volcanic rock island overlooking lake Naivasha, has been stylishly designed and furnished in the modern chic vogue. Featuring 5 en-suite comfortable double bedrooms, it can accommodate up to 10 guests. 3 of the rooms have double beds, one room has a triple and one room has 2 single beds.
This little known magical island is lake Naivasha’s best kept secret, tucked away on the western shore of the lake. Within the glass and timber house you have the sense of floating above the lake with spectacular views of Eburu, the Abedares and Mt. Longonot. You have to see it to believe it.

The main house comprises a spacious sitting room, kids play area, dining room, outside covered dining area and wrap-around deck and 4 en-suite bedrooms. The annex comprises 2 ensuite bedrooms with their own veranda. A wooden, locally designed and built, fishing boat offers boat transfers to and from the island. The island is ideally situated to enjoy all that Lake Naivasha has to offer from water sports, fishing, bird watching, golfing at Green Park, cycling and game viewing in
Hell’s Gate, hiking Mt. Longonot, flamingo viewing on Lake Olodien. The house has a chef and 2 other household staff, a boatman and day and night guards.

If you don’t know what happens in Naivasha, you’re missing one of Kenya’s highlights. On the south of Lake Naivasha, you can go horse riding or boating, or venture into Hells Gate National Park and go rock climbing, hiking and cycling. For the super fit, why not take on the climb up Mount Longonot or (for the less fit) go walking on the Crescent Island Conservancy? Alternatively, set the pace a little slower and take the family out to lunch under huge acacia trees at Carnelley’s or The Ranch House Bistro. On the north side of the lake, the Great Rift Valley Club provides golf, tennis and swimming facilities. Once you’re in the area, it’s a short run-up to Elementaita Conservancy and Nakuru National Park. Altogether, Naivasha offers a great collection of activities for everyone, and we have a great collection of houses to make your stay memorable.
